Letter From Grandma K. 1984

December 29, 1984

Dear Kim,

It was great to hear your voice on Christmas Eve. Did you have a nice Christmas?

I think there were 29 here this year. Anyway, there was lots of noise! …

It certainly has been different weather than when you were here last year. Right now it’s 67F outside. I can’t believe this warm weather. I expect we will get some winter later.

So, you are through college now. You aren’t going to graduate school yet, are you? Seems like you have spent most of your life in school.

Everyone is well except …

I’ve been fine. Enjoying no snow on the roads so I can get out. I was at a luncheon with 8 old girlfriends last Thursday and I’m going to luncheon with Susie & Gene’s mother today …

Thanks for the chicken decal. Do you know I got some napkins with the very same chickens on them? I couldn’t believe it. Everything I got this year had chickens or birds.

Take care, work hard and make lots of money in 1985.

All my love,
Grandma K.
