Letter From Grandma K. 1987

Jan 23, 1987

Dear Kim,

We are having real winter weather right now – zero weather – blowing & drifting – the whole bit. …

Kelly had her baby last night at 11:50, 7lbs 4oz. Name Ashley Elizabeth. I like that.

I’m trying to lose some pounds & here I am eating Christmas cookies & drinking coffee.

Judy called the other day. She always lets me know about her school. She is doing real well. I hope she doesn’t get discouraged before it’s all over. It takes a long time to get a degree going just at night. …

Are you selling any artwork? …

It’s snowing & blowing so hard I can’t see across the road right now!

Everyone is well. Molly and Eliza come here after school … Molly and I play a game of Scrabble every afternoon and Eliza watches kids programs.

Take care of yourself and write me a letter again. I love to hear from you. Glad you liked the afghan.

Love,
Grandma K.
